“Afterwards the rich men of the neighbourhood contrived to get these lands again into their possession, under other people's names, and at last would not stick to claim most of them publicly in their own. The poor, who were thus deprived of their farms, were no longer either ready, as they had formerly been, to serve in war or careful in the education of their children; insomuch that in a short time there were comparatively few freemen remaining in all Italy, which swarmed with workhouses full of foreign-born slaves. These the rich men employed in cultivating their ground of which they dispossessed the citizens.” -Plutarch, The Life of Tiberius Gracchus
"The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail. All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.” -Deuteronomy 28:43-45
Welcome back, and thanks for reading! Your Country Is Being Invaded
On Thursday, August 21, the Trump Administration announced some news that exploded online like an atomic bomb: it is reviewing all 55 million active visas to determine what percentage are fraudulent or can otherwise be revoked.1
Yes, you read that correctly: 55 million! The equivalent of the entire population of Italy, just slightly less than the entirety of France or the United Kingdom, has a valid and active US visa! Our visa-holding population alone would be the 26th most populous nation in the world.2
In any other world, 55 million people out of a supposed population of 340 million—a whopping 16% of the population—would be considered an invasion.3 In The Camp of the Saints, it is a “mere” million migrants who bring France to her knees with their armada of the wretched.
But for a modern American, that is just the tip of the iceberg. A rough estimate shows, after deductions for those likely to be out of the country have been made, that over 100 million foreigners of varying sorts and statuses are likely in the country.

How Many Foreigners Could Be In America?
Visas and Naturalized Citizens
Layered on top of the 55 million visa holders (though not all of these are actively in America, as will be discussed below), there are ~24,618,500 naturalized citizens in the US.4 As they are naturalized citizens rather than tourists or lawful residents of some sort, they no longer have visas and are not included in the active visa total.
While naturalized citizens are technically Americans, the citizenship process has been weaponized against the American people since the 1965 Hart-Cellar Immigration Act, which encourages migration to America from the “Developing World” and makes immigration to America from Europe nearly impossible.5
This was the basis of Trump’s infamous “shithole countries” remark: American immigration policy makes it near-impossible for Norwegians to move here, but encourages migration from Haiti. And lots of immigrants from those “shithole countries” have come here. 4% of Haiti and 6% of Honduras entered America between 2021 and 2024, for example.6
So, whereas immigrants in the last century were at least from Europe, now they’re generally from countries quite outside the Western tradition in almost every way.
Thus, there are millions upon millions of naturalized Americans here. Though Americans—and in some cases patriotic—generally this means we are getting variations of the naturalized citizen Congresswoman who just said she is a Guatemalan first7 and American second, or Ilhan Omar, who has said much the same thing. So is the ethnically Chinese, naturalized American Intel CEO who funded the Chinese military industrial complex and might have helped send tech secrets to China.8 This group ought, then, be counted in the foreigner total.
Anchor Babies
Relatedly, there is the matter of anchor babies: children of foreigners who count as Americans on paper because they were whelped on American soil. Technically, they are Americans, thanks to the Supreme Court’s deranged interpretation of the 14th Amendment.9
But though Americans on paper, in reality, they are foreigners. They were born here to anchor their parents to America, are generally not raised in anything resembling the American tradition, and did not come via the rails that make one an American. Though they may become Americans, if properly integrated, it’s generally fair to count them as foreigners.
Estimating the total number is challenging,10 but the number is substantial: the average over 2015-2023 was about ~850,00 per year.11 Births of anchor babies by illegal aliens are about a quarter to a third of that total number, generally somewhere in the 200-350k range.
So, with immigration numbers having skyrocketed in the 1980s-90s and stayed ever higher ever since, the number of anchor babies is likely in the tens of millions. As there are currently ~18 million American-born children of foreigners in America, we’ll put this estimate at around 20 million, but understand that this is on the very low end of what is likely accurate.12 The real number could be double 20 million, or even more.
How Many Illegals are In America?
Then there are the illegals. As they either crossed into America without a visa, or overstayed a work/tourist visa (this is an increasingly large problem), they are not included in the total active visa number either.
Before the Biden presidency, a study conducted by Yale and MIT found that there were about 22 million illegal aliens in the US.13
Biden and Mayorkas, traitors that they were, then sent the number rocketing upwards by between 50% and 100%; at the low end, 10 million more illegals came during their tenure, but it appears more likely that ~20 million more invaded during the Biden-Harris Administration. Vice President JD Vance said in April that the Biden-era additions totalled about 20 million.14 That is probably accurate, particularly if you include the various sorts of “refugees” taken in by Biden under vague legal pretenses.
So, assuming the Vice President’s numbers are closer to correct than those of CNN, there are ~42 million illegals in America;15 22 million from before Biden, 20 million additions during his tenure.
The Total Number of Foreigners In America
So, before making deductions to find a more accurate estimate, there are (using approximations) 55 million foreigners with active and valid US visas, 40 million illegal immigrants, 20 million anchor babies, and 25 million naturalized citizens. That overall number, then, is that there could be as many as ~142 million foreigners who could be in America.
But a few deductions must be made to make the estimate more accurate.
Adjusting the Total Number of Foreigners in America
To calculate the actual number who are likely here, however, we need to deduct those who probably shouldn’t be included. Fortunately, the real number is “only” about 70% of the maximum estimate. Below, I’ll show what adjustments should be made to reach a rough but likely close to accurate approximation.
How Many Deportations Have There Been?
The headline consideration is deportations: about 1.6 million illegals have either been deported by the immigration authorities or self-deported themselves under President Trump.16 Further, the same study found that another 600k foreigners have left, though not illegals. So, about 2.2 million foreigners have left, most of them illegals. For the purposes of this approximation, we will include that by revising the illegal immigration number downward by 2 million, to 40 million from 42 million.
Still, it will likely continue and might even accelerate, so a reader of this months after it was published should adjust based on the post-August deportation numbers. For now, however, the real number is still likely around 40 million.
Adjusting the Visa Number:
The bigger adjustment is visas. While the 55 million number is shocking and horrifying, it should be noted that many of these are short-term tourist or business visas. What percentage that is, however, is somewhat unclear.
The best approximation is provided by the Department of Homeland Security: in 2024, of the total number of visa holders, 12.8 million were green-card holders, and 3.6 million people were here on temporary but longer-term visas (such as an H-1B visa), mainly for work or school. All in all, assuming that number remained somewhat constant, that would mean there are ~16.5 million visa holders of some sort, from green-card holders to H-1Bs, here.
As a side note, ~1.5 million of these are H-1Bs,17 making that problem18 all the larger.
Another revision that must be made is that some of the valid and legal visa holders overstay their visa and turn into illegal immigrants. In many years, this has been a larger problem than actual border crossers.19
So, some percentage of the visa holders who should leave won’t; generally, this is about 600,000 per year.20 Most but not all of these stay in the country indefinitely rather than just leaving eventually. To adjust for that situation, we will add half a million back to the visa total, assuming that they are staying in the US as illegals with expired visas. (As it is something of a grey area whether these should be included in the illegal number or visa number, as they are mostly unkown and uncounted in real time, I have included it here, to make the visa approximation more accurate.)
Thus, the adjusted total from visas, including workers, immigrants, and overstaying illegals, is approximately ~17 million foreigners. This number changes constantly based on everything from student visas to tourism rates to visa overstays, but ~17 million is probably a fair approximation.
Naturalized Citizens and Anchor Babies
The naturalized citizen number is known with a reasonable degree of certainty, at least as of the end of FY 2024, and while the exact anchor baby number is infuriatingly opaque, the approximation we are using is already the very low end of what it likely is. So, those two numbers don’t need to be revised downwards.
The Adjusted Total Number of Foreigners in America
All in all, then, that means there are: ~17 million visa holders of varying sorts here, ~40 million illegals, ~25 million naturalized citizens, and 20 million anchor babies. That means, then, that there are approximately 102 million foreigners in America at any given time, most of them for the long term.
Foreigners as a Percentage of Population
With the 2020 Census finding there to be 340 million people in America, that means that approximately 30% of America is foreign-born, roughly doubling the generally used number of ~15%.
And that 15% figure is already indescribably high. It means that America already has a higher percentage of foreigners as a percent of population than it did during the notoriously high immigration Gilded Age!21 When the real numbers are used, the ones that capture the feeling of walking in Costco and feeling like a stranger in a strange land, that means we likely have double the percentage of foreigners than at the prior peaks in American history!
That is a catastrophe.
The Foreign-Delivered Catastrophe
Why do homes feel so expensive?22 Why are the wages that would allow you to buy them so low? Why has wage growth not kept pace with productivity growth? The extra 100 million paper Americans brought here by our overlords since the mid-1980s surely don’t help, as that surplus of cheap labor has to live somewhere, driving housing costs up, and works for less than Americans, driving wages down.
Then there are all the other secondary effects to consider.
When your child goes to school, it is overcrowded because of the influx of foreigners and their children. It is impossible to learn, for the discordant cacophony of languages brought with them drowns out learning and replaces it with the bureaucracy of translation. Violence, gangs, drugs, foreign attitudes, and all the rest have replaced the school culture of America decades ago…there are drug dealers and Tiger Moms instead of homecoming kings and queens.
Then there’s the infrastructure you use—from roads to hospitals—it is overburdened by the teeming horde of foreigners in your midst, driving up repair costs even as it becomes ever less usable.
And that’s when they don’t cause deadly accidents; an illegal immigrant from India just killed a family of three in Florida23 because he was too incompetent to drive a golf cart, yet was given a CDL by Gavin Newsom.
And then there is the matter of crime. Illegals and the cartels to which they are connected are running roughshod over ranches, putting lives at risk, and generally wreaking havoc.24
Demented thugs from tribes and lands with unpronounceable names committing crimes that would make Beria blush. Vagrancy, drug use, and bizarre incidents of criminality, such as Haitians eating the park geese,25 taking over public spaces.
All those are the blessings of the 100 million foreigners foisted upon you. Like the Romans seen by Tiberius Gracchus, displaced in their ancestral homeland by teeming hordes of imported slaves and their oligarchic masters, we live under the thumb of a brutal and evil immigration regime.26 And you have 102 million new neighbors thanks to it, most of whom hate you. They all must be deported, or America will reach her end.
