Welcome back! Normally, I release articles rather than videos on Tuesdays. However, the opportunity to talk to Ron Dodson about a matter he has covered quite in depth recently1—why the Epstein story is still relevant and important—came up, and that seemed a better way of covering what I think is so relevant about the issue though it’s been six years since he didn’t kill himself.
Namely, Ron and I covered what the story—from start to finish—of how Epstein was plugged into nearly every prominent American institution and how they were never cleared out despite having done horrible things alongside and without Epstein. America’s defense of bacha bazi (rape of little boys habitually engaged in by our “allies) in Afghanistan, aid of the Islamist terrorists who have murdered most of the Christians in Iraq and Syria, and much else came alongside the regime’s refusal to punish Epstein. So too did Epstein-friend Bill Clinton letting the Israelis transfer sensitive military technology to China,2 the genesis of modern Chinese air power.3
With Eric Weinstien alleging Epstein was engaged in theft of American technological secrets,4 that’s worth at least paying attention to…and leads back to Epstein, Clinton, and America’s institutions. Similarly, with more and more evidence of the “Intelligence Community’s” Cold War perfidy everywhere from Indochina to Rhodesia and the Congo, it’s worth examining what terrible things it is doing now, and how that was tied to Epstein or types like him. And, of course, with the wars in Ukraine and Israel becoming increasingly problematic for America, it’s worth reviewing the various threads connecting America’s intelligence community with Ukraine’s oligarchs and Israel’s intelligence community through Epstein. In short, he and those around him are tied to most of America’s present problems, and though he died, they were never held accountable for it.
So, it’s not just that there were no real punishments levied for his heinous actions and the actions of those around him. It’s that there was never a “scouring of the Shire” in which the rotten institutions were cleared out of the sorts of people who would work against America’s interests alongside a well-known child rapist and human trafficker, and that those same institutions are still causing issues.
That, in turn, had delegitimized them in the eyes of many, which is pushing America toward political violence and larger problems. Why is Luigi Mangione a folk hero amongst many? Why did people online cheer the slaying of the Blackstone CEO? Because our rotten institutions refuse to stop the powerful—whether they be (allegedly) fraudulent insurance companies or child abusers like Epstein—from preying upon normal Americans and taking advantage of our country. That’s the rot, that’s the root of the delegitimization, and that’s why we are where we are, with the whole problem symbolized in the minds of many by the Epstein case.
Ron is great about discussing those issues in a reasonable and rational, if also wide-ranging, way, which is what we did here. Hopefully, it gets you thinking, even though this is just a short and small discussion of a very large issue.
