Hello, everyone! Happy Saturday. As you know, I have been working on my The Old World Show series on Virginia, and am releasing episode 2 today. It covers the myth and reality of the Old Dominion’s famous Cavaliers, from whether they existed at all to how Cavalier Culture and views of land ownership shaped the state of Virginia…along with how Gov. Berkeley used political scheming and land grants to crush what small amounts of Puritan power there were in the Virginia colony.
A number of paid subscribers have asked me to release it ad-free on here, rather than just YouTube and podcasting apps. Previously, I had not done so because I didn’t want to send too many emails and annoy you, but I am happy to do so for paid subscribers.
So, the first couple of minutes of this video are free of ads and open to all viewers, but the remainder is for paid subscribers only. If you wish to watch it in full but without becoming a paid subscriber, you can do so below on YouTube, and just see a few ads. The same is true of Spotify, Rumble, Apple Podcasts, etc. It is available on all those platforms.
