This will be good. Question: Thoughts on the Imperial Federation? Do you think it could've worked and was it based?

No. The Imperial Federation was the brainchild of Joseph Chamberlain, father of Neville Chamberlain. Joseph and others like him believed in consolidating Britain and her Dominions to bring them closer together with an Imperial Council, Parliament, Court, and Prime Minister. All Dominions would maintain their governments and autonomy, but they would be represented at the Imperial level.

@JohnArcto I believe compared Joseph to Teddy Roosevelt. Great episode! 👍

It was a clever concept but I don’t think the political will was there to make it work, based on what I’ve read
