Hello, friends and subscribers. Thanks for tuning in. As it is Christmas, I am spending a bit of time with family this week and hope you are doing the same. As a result, there’s no new audio episode for this week, and on Friday we’ll just have a podcast episode open to all. That said, now’s still a great time to take a walk and listen to some podcasts. So, if that’s you, and you want to have something to which you can listen, I have a list below of some of my recent podcast appearances. This should provide a few hours of material to listen to, and hopefully, you will find at least some of it interesting.
J. Burden: The Corn Laws. In this show, the always great J. Burden and I discussed the Corn Laws, with a focus on what about the English agricultural system worked well and what life was like in the Victorian Countryside (Burden’s show is available on most platforms, Spotify just happens to be one of the easier ones and is easier to share on here, so it’s the link I included. Check out the other ways to view his work here).
This one is a bit older, but was also with Burden and is quite good. In it we discussed what the Cold War was actually about, using Rhodesia as a guide for discussion but tying in a great deal more as well. Listen here:
Millennial Woes: Milleniyule and Rhodesia. I was greatly pleased to get to go on Milleniyule this year, a show where Millenial Woes interviews a string of guests each day to discuss their work and a topic of interest to them. We discussed Rhodesia. Though I have spoken about that subject much before, I think it was in this show that I did the best job telling the story from a narrative perspective. You can listen on Rumble here.
Marty Bent: Dynastic Investing, Wealth Preservation, and Bitcoin. In this episode, one of my favorite guys in the Bitcoin space, Marty Bent, and I discussed how the aristocratic families that have survived for centuries, and in some cases a millennium, have done so. We particularly focused on what sorts of investments make sense if you are planning for a dynasty to hold them, where those who have the potential for new dynastic wealth often go wrong, and what the strengths and weaknesses of Bitcoin are as an investment. Even if you’re not into Bitcoin, this is an interesting show:
Arbitrage Andy: Rhodesia and Investing as the World Becomes South Africa. Andy, whose Substack is one of the ones I most look forward to reading, was gracious enough to have me on to discuss Rhodesia, oligarchy, and globalism. We particularly focused on the failures of America’s ruling class and what Rhodesia got right that the modern West often gets quite wrong. Though you’ve heard me speak about all of that before, I think our discussion here was quite interesting and is worth listening to:
And check out his Substack here:
I’ve done many more, but these are some of my favorites from the past bit, with the conversations being interesting and flowing well. If you have a podcaster in mind whose show you would like for me to go on, please just let me know in the comments below. Thanks!
