Dear Readers,
Thank all of you for subscribing, reading, and listening. I’ve said it before and will say it again: without all of you, I wouldn’t be able to do this. Highlighting the fates of Rhodesia and South Africa at the hands of “our” Cold War policy has been bringing about tangible results — Tucker discussed both in his podcast with Ernst Roets and Elon Musk called out the ongoing white genocide in South Africa — and I hope this small production played some role in bringing the subject to the front of the public consciousness. Without your support, that wouldn’t have been able to happen. So, really and truly, thank you.
As part of that, I’d like to do a question and answer article this week. Many of you have found me through X (Twitter) or the Substack platform’s recommendation feature, so I suspect you might be wondering about who I am, why I write about what I write, what my thoughts on various subjects of interest to you are, or like questions. So, please leave any questions you have as a comment on this article! I will work on answering them through this week and answer them in an article this Friday!
If you are a paid subscriber and ask a question, then I will certainly take time to answer it. If you are a free subscriber, I will do my best to answer your question — I really do appreciate everyone who takes the time to read and subscribe — but can’t promise I’ll get to it. I will, however, try.
So, please ask away! I can’t wait to see what you’re wondering and answer what you ask! While my main subjects of interest are Southern Africa (namely South Africa, Rhodesia, and the Belgian Congo), America’s Anglo-Saxon roots and traditions, and the English landed elite, I’m happy to answer whatever you might ask. Again, just leave those questions as comments on this article.
Best,
Will Tanner
from a financial markets standpoint, do you see comparable themes or widespread behaviors/similarities between rhodesia and other modern nations? eg. did rhodesia experience a notable kind of speculation, hording, or certain assets being in heavy demand, and do you see any of those patterns now? if so, do you think it's a harbinger of a similar outcome?
First question: where is Rhodesia? ;)
Second: have you visited Africa? If yes, tell us about it. If no, any plans to?
Third: As both liberalism and American influence abroad wane, a great deal of cultural pressure will come off of African whites. What are the prospects for African whites to reassert themselves? Might we see a Cape Reconquista?
