Yes I have 2 cousins remaining in SA. All my other family have left and my brother lives in Houston, TX. So another loss is that family is spread all over the world and seeing each other happens seldomly 💔

Was thinking perhaps the real purpose for refusing Starlink is to stifle communication of the farmers. Lots of farms in the US have only recently been able to have reliable internet. Wireless hotspots and Starlink are big contributors to that. I can’t imagine farms in SA having any internet in those areas.

All discriminatory laws against white people and Afrikaners will be repealed. A bill will be passed to provide legal protection to the Afrikaner language. The ANC will become more moderate and purge anti-white racism from the party. The EFF will be banned. A law will be passed making signing “Kill the Boer” illegal and fining and jailing anyone who sings it. All the perpetrators of farm murders will be rounded up. arrested and brought to justice and tried by the ICC at The Hague. Western Cape secession will be supported by the United States and the West. All western countries will agree to take Afrikaner refugees. The patrols that protected the white farms will be brought back. The South African police and military will assist them. Those found guilty of killing white farmers will be given the death penalty. South Africa will do real reconciliation and work to build bridges between blacks and whites.

By my calculations, it seems that by a slim majority, most Afrikaans speakers in South Africa are now Cape Colored.
I couldn't find direct figures for this, but Afrikaans is the normal first language of the Cape Colored, and they now outnumber the remaining Afrikaaners in South Africa. If anyone has a proper statistical source on the matter, I'd be interested to hear.
My interest in Cape Coloreds stems particularly from the mother of a student of mine, who comes from that community. She speaks perfect Afrikaans, excellent English (but with a heavy Afrikaans accent) and she can still communicate in Zulu if necessary. She and her husband (black South African) left the country about twenty years ago because of the mounting violence and signs of civilizational collapse; their son, my student, was born in the UK, and considers himself patriotic British (not South African). They all moved to the US subsequently.
