I would like to suggest a correction in your first paragraph, it should be regress versus tradition, rather than progress versus tradition.

Indeed, sadly enough. Still, they call it progress

"Cuckservative" did not become a term for nothing.

The moral of the story: If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?

Exactly! I find myself regularly reminding people that our Constitution is not a suicide pact, especially as it was written for a "moral and religious people, wholly insufficient to govern any other"...and clearly that's NOT our population in 2026.

Unfortunately, voting harder is neither a strategic solution nor a tactical one. We are most certainly living in interesting times. Keep up the good work, which, for me, provides unique and valuable perspectives/insights. Godspeed

Conservativism is based in the enlightenment optimism of time with progress but simply seeks the reverse. We don't have epistemic access to time as progress in technology etc with titanic, ww1, ww2 etc. We don't have it for science, given the replication crisis, nor with governing, given the fascist, nazi and dei takeovers of liberal governments. Given all that has been exhausted in history of liberalism, what room is there left for conservativism? Whatever the case is later, we can't ever "conserve" as a general rule. There are things we advocate for. Conservativism has all the blind-spots of liberal optimism but no possible solutions. It's definitely a narcissistic dead-end and a sorry foil for anyone.

'Conservatives' whore to the ruling class. It has never offered anything to the working class equal to the revolutionaries. That's why they always lost.

Need? No. But did I chuckle to myself while typing that section? Yes.
