@30~ he mentions security is the plot line for how the state is drawn when talking about the templars. This makes me think of Elon and people overblowing his power thinking he’ll create a new state. Elon will be allowed to operate up until the point he becomes an annoyance to the security state. Then a Phillip the fair will have him thrown in prison.
I do doubt Elon will actually create a parallel state, at least to the extent the Templars did, here on Earth. If he does anything like that it'll be on Mars (admittedly quite a reach), where they'd have a harder time touching him/his creation.
But yes, the problem with parallel states is that the actual state might decide to crush them.
