Fantastic podcast. I am not quite sure, though, what the solution is. I, for one, am against a straight “meritocracy” which will lead to the “Vivekization” of America.
If you look at the elite public schools in NYC like Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Brooklyn Tech, (that only admit based on test scores) something like 85% of the student body is Asian/Indian and 10% or so is Jewish. WASP, Italians, Irish (all whom have significant populations in NYC) are practically non-existent there.
As I’ve commented on Vivekization before, and just testing for the highest scoring candidate may seem fair but when applied universally it is anti-American.
yeah, we went back and forth on that a bit. I tend to agree, particularly for Ivy colleges like Harvard that have a history of more than just excellent test scores. That said, meritocracy would at least be an improvement over straight anti-white discrimination
Maybe. I am not sure it won't just mean Asain, Indian, Jews filling the current spots GIVEN to the the Hispanics and Black students at Harvard. "Well rounded" does not mean someone with straights As who is an expert violinist but can't run a respectable mile time or comport themselves in a real social setting.

Lol, replacement is inevitable, from New York to London.
