I’m praying for you all in Britain.

I am in America, I just find that England like South Africa holds many lessons for Americans, and because it is somewhere else it is easier to view those lessons in a detached way

Perfect and complete summation of the risks of military, boots-on-the-ground support for Ukraine.

Thank you! Hopefully others find it helpful too

Unfortunately (as a Brit) we’re doomed on current trajectories, although some level of consciousness has developed in the last year and there’s widespread discontent it’s not being challenged effectively towards the liberal hegemony as there’s a different structure with USA, and the elite isn’t dissenting from the party line of liberalism. Think as if CNN had a central media monopoly that nearly the entirety of the country are through the license fee directed to watch. Demographics mean at this point it seems locked in and although we have increasing dissent it’s too little, too late. Actually think a few more shocks (external or internal) like recessions would help.

Also it’s unrealistic both politically and mechanically for us to actually fight in Ukraine - we have shockingly poor military capabilities and the government are well aware how genuinely hated they are by all sections of society. Weak consolation but one of the few things not concerned about.

Starmer either knows this and its the point or he is a delusional nut job. Both are terrifying prospects. Hopefully, if he tried it, would be a civil war and toppling of the parliament. The kings did a better job.

Hopefully one of the royals has the courage to reassert authority and stop this before it’s too late. I have my doubts

Just goes to show what a delusional lunatic Starmer really is

This warmongering blob wants to spend money it doesn’t have, to buy weapons that industrial capacity doesn’t exist to produce, in order to arm a deracinated populace who have no interest in fighting for an establishment less focussed on patriotism than gay communism. […] Why would the men of Europe be willing to kill and die to defend a deranged mercantile regime that wants to trans their kids and ram infinity immigration down their throats? https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/03/no-more-strong-gods-in-europe-what-men-will-volunteer-to-fight-now/

Indeed. It’s insane

Powerfully put.

I think President Trump is much more than “skeptical” of American troops having boots on the ground in Ukraine…

Article 5 protections are only applicable on the territory of the nation in question. Even Trump has flat-out stated that Article 5 would not be applied by the US concerning NATO troops in Ukraine.

False argument.
